Abra Couture was created in 1992 by accident. Abra began selling her jewelry creations on the streets of New York City's Soho and Greenwich Village and was discovered by an army of fashion editors of major newspapers and magazines. After being plucked from obscurity, Abra quit her job in advertising and started selling her work in many chic New York boutiques. By the mid-nineties, her work was sold all over the country in galleries and many museums. Abra is regarded as an Art Naive artist and is part of the Next Wave vanguard of product designers. Her work is visually appealing and easily recognizable. Her trademark collars regularly grace the stars featured in music videos, commercials and cinema. Abra Couture is still a favorite with stylists from top fashion magazines. Abra Couture is proudly made in the USA! |
